Kaneohe Bay Air Show 2010
I've haven't posted for awhile because life has been super busy recently. A couple of weeks ago, I was honored to take my Grandson, Jacques, to his very first air show! Since we have no air shows on the Big Island we traveled to Oah'u for the Kaneohe Bay Air Show at Marine Corps Base Hawai'i on the windward side. We stayed a week over there and had a great time. More importantly, Jacques loved the air show. Here are some random shots.

Ocean Fair at Jack's Diving Locker
Jacques was eager to try out the regulator.
His instructor was Wendy who was excellent and very patient.
He looked awful cute.
"I can see my feet!"
Probably as much as anything else, Jacques enjoyed the bubbles from the free-flowing regulator.
The Ocean Fair was an excellent experience for Jacques and I would recommend anyone with kids who are interested in the sea to attend next year's fair.

Kailua-Kona Christmas Parade
For a little seasonal change of pace, I thought I'd post some photos of our Christmas Parade that was held on Saturday, Dec. 12. I'll just let most of the photos speak for themselves. Kailua-Kona is a small town and our celebrations are a little corny and hokey but lots of fun. Most of the "floats" are lawn decorations mounted on pick-up trucks or flatbeds. Everybody has a good time, though, and gets in the Holiday spirit.
